Human Resource Consulting

Our Human Resource Process

Robert Carr Insurance Agency provides a number of different resources to our clients including assisting them with the development and implementation of their Human Resource policies and procedures. The process of developing a functional HR program includes a detailed analysis of the employer’s current policies to determine those that contribute to the success of their company and those that may need to be re-evaluated to ensure compatibility to the goals and objectives of the company, while ensuring the well-being and retention of their employees.

A Team Approach

This process requires a team approach to solving any issues which will include listening to the problems facing each of the employees, problem resolution, critical and strategic evaluation of problems and solutions, thorough analysis of capabilities, evaluation of leadership capabilities and knowledge of the company work practices, products, and competition as well as learning about daily operations.

Areas of expertise and critical analysis includes HR laws, safety, security, workers’ compensation, benefits, salaries and compensation, hiring and recruiting qualified employees. Additionally, the role of HR as it relates to employee disciplinary matters, contract law as it relates to HR functions, a high degree of communications and writing skills are necessary for the success of any HR operation.

Many employers become overwhelmed by the burdening local, state and federal regulations which are mandated by agencies such as OSHA, EEOC, FWHL, ODJFS, FMLA, FSLA and many others that affect and direct the employer’s operations.

Findings and Recommendations

Upon completion of the initial audit and evaluation of the current processes in place, our consultant will provide an outline of the findings and recommendations for resolution. We will begin by reviewing and revising current documentation to ensure compliance to required standards and legal doctrine. Management staff, supervisors and employees will be trained in the necessary requirements to ensure an understanding of functions necessary to operate efficiently.

One of the main responsibilities of any HR department is conflict resolution. This is the role needed to ensure team efforts are installed into each participant and to instruct employees in the value of working together to get the job done as efficiently and expeditiously as possible.

The role of the consultant is time consuming and at times an inconvenience to the employer. However, once the need is recognized, the employer will be in a much better position to avoid conflicts and fines and penalties imposed by government agencies. Working together for the well-being of all employees and staff as well as inter-acting with the general public and customers will ensure trust and confidence in the work environment and general public.
